“Man Up” is the men’s ministry of Calvary Church. On September 13th and 14th they are hosting their first ever men’s conference- which will feature messages from MLB legend Daryl Strawberry (who played for the New York Mets and the New York Yankees), Nathan Finochio (founder of TheosU), and Pastor Nate Heitzig of Calvary Church, as well as giveaways, fellowship, worship, and food.

 

Today, Taylor Bronisz- the director of Man Up and a Pastor at Calvary Church- joins us to share information about this event, like what men can expect from the teachers and some fun activities that are in store.

Founded in 1979, Joni and Friends ministers to people with disabilities. Providing wheelchairs and Bibles, as well as community and retreats, Joni and Friends works to extend a hand to those struggling with disabilities, showing them the love of Christ and equipping the Christian Church to mobilize to reach them.
Today, Mary Gray Perdue of Joni and Friends New Mexico joins us to talk about the ministry and their upcoming “Respite Night”- a night when volunteers take over the care of a person with a disabilite, allowing their family or care team members to attend to other things for the evening.
She also shares about the last respite night that was held.

Care Net Pregnancy Centers of Albuquerque provide FREE pregnancy services, including testing and ultra-sounds. STI testing and post-abortive care are also available for the asking. Paula Gonzales is the Executive Director of Care Net Pregnancy Centers of Albuquerque, and Jennifer Ward is the Community Outreach Director.
