Abby Williams is an editor, journalist, KNKT producer, and now a college graduate. She has been completing her course work from home for the past six weeks like so many college and high school seniors are across the country. Abby offers some encouragement to her contemporaries, sharing her heart about missing her friends and the fun of the graduation experience.

Abby offers the following verse to help “motivate” our listeners!

For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. 12 ‘Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 ‘You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13

UNM Football Offensive Coordinator Derek Warehime is ready to give the football to his players and start the season. Of course, like the rest of America, Covid-19 is keeping them off the field. From our interview, you can tell Coach Warehime is a great motivator. I was impressed with his commitment to relationships with Lobo players on the field and off. Every day the coaching staff are communicating with their players to make sure they are using their time wisely. Coach Derek sounds like a pretty good Dad in addition to being a great football coach!  For information about Lobo Football, see GoLobos.com.

Tim Fuller is a Producer for KNKT Radio and ABQ Connect. He is also a political science student at the University of New Mexico. Tim and Jim review some of the important points made by guests on ABQ Connect for the previous week. Podcasts of ABQ Connect episodes are available at ABQconnect.online.

Bishop David Cooper with New Hope Full Gospel Baptist Church visits ABQ Connect with Brian Alarid, President of America Prays. Brian introduces his friend and mentor, Bishop Cooper, on the program.  We have some fun talking about the worship experience of the New Hope Full Gospel Baptist Church. Bishop Cooper graciously addresses race relations in our community, and his hope to see Christians of all races come together in support of one another. Both men believe united prayer is the way to focus our faith in Jesus.

Paul is the President of the Rio Grande Foundation. Each time he visits our program, he addresses the critical political issues facing New Mexicans. I invite him to ABQ Connect because Paul takes the risk of offering our listeners well thought out solutions to the issues of the day. You may not agree with all of Paul’s ideas, but you will benefit from the conversation he offers on his website https://riograndefoundation.org/.
