Luke 2:52: And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. NASB

Bernadette Shanaberger, Brian Nixon and Katherine Gardner serve on the education team at Calvary Church Albuquerque. Bernadette shares how Calvary Elementary is about more than just teaching kids about God and the Bible. A foundation in faith filters into the atmosphere of their thoughts and builds character in every child.

Brian Nixon, the author of Master Teacher, shares how Calvary Preschool, Calvary Elementary and Calvary College use Luke 2 as a foundation of education. By looking at how Jesus learned and how he later came to teach, we can see how Jesus grew in wisdom, stature, and favor with both God and man.

Katherine Gardner, the registrar of Calvary College, says these  courses offer every student a biblical knowledge and background. This teaches them how to present to others what God wants them to present. Share what you KNOW, not what you think.

At the end of the day, the educational team at Calvary Church just wants one thing for their students. They want to make them the best loved and the best taught in Albuquerque.

New Mexico Dream Center Executive Director Shelley Repp and Lead Client Case Manager Abby McClelland are part of a special ministry rescuing children from sex traffickers. Abby said, “Our clients have had only had experiences with unhealthy people, and we want them to know how healthy relationships look. We always talk about the future and less about the past. We focus on building relationships with our clients to show them (an example) a healthy relationship and show them they are worthy. They deserve to be heard because for so long, they have been told they are worthless.” If you need help, call or text the New Mexico Dream Center Hotline at NMDC Hotline 505-504-1301. More information is available at https://www.nmdreamcenter.org/our-story.

Two-thirds of all men view pornography. One-third of all women.”

It is common today to hear from women that their husbands demand demeaning sexual situations from them that are not Biblical. Peter said, “If your husband is looking at you saying your body is mine, you have to do what I want sexually-that is not Biblical. That is not what first Corinthians 7 is talking about. It’s a sacrificial passage where the husband is supposed to look at you and say, my body is for your betterment.”
