Richard is the Senior Pastor of New Beginnings Church, located at 4770 Montgomery Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. Weekend Services are Sunday at 9 am, and 11 am. The Midweek service is Wednesday at 7 pm. He is also the Co-Chairman of New Mexico Prays. Pastor Richard said, “We have over 147 churches in our state that are praying for New Mexico twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.”

Pastor Richard is very candid about his own life and the trials God has taken him through. He said, “I am a very transparent Pastor. I share the good, the bad, and the ugly. “Some people leave (our services) saying our Pastor is pretty awesome, but if he is that messed up, there is hope for me!”

Joy Junction is a 501(c)(3) faith-based church ministry that offers emergency and short-term essentials such as food, clothing, counseling, transportation, shelter to homeless men, women, children, and families throughout Albuquerque. Elma Reynalds is the CEO of the ministry. She said, “Guests also receive an array of other services for their spiritual and emotional needs.” Joy Junction believes in giving the homeless a Hand Up, not a handout! Steve Reimann is the Engineer for ABQ Connect.  He and Jim review the details of the “Freedom Celebration,” which starts tonight, July 2, 2021, on the Osuna campus of Calvary Church Albuquerque. The gates open at 4:00 pm. The show starts at 6:00 pm. Christian artists Phil Wickham, Passion, Andrew Ripp, and Tedashii will be on stage, followed by a gospel message from Pastor Skip Heitzig. The finale on the evening will be a fireworks show lighting up the darkness, celebrating the freedom we enjoy as Americans.

Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair.  Albuquerque’s best food trucks Parker’s Pizza, Black Iron Catering Co., Nomads BBQ, Wow-Wow Lemonade, and Sugar ‘N Glitz Desserts will be onsite.  Fun for the kids in the “Kidz Zone” will be provided. Activities for children include face painting and inflatables. THE EVENT IS FREE!

Steve Mckee is a branding expert.
