Brittany and Jacques Van Wyk recently recognized that children in Pecos, New Mexico needed some help to insure they had food available for their weekends. Like many school districts in New Mexico the Pecos Schools provide breakfast and lunch for many students during the school week, but on the weekends many children do not have anything to eat. Brittany contacted Tracy Rodden, the Executive Director of Feed New Mexico kids, and today they are providing food and supporting families in the Pecos area. Like many school districts throughout New Mexico, they can use some additional financial support to buy food, and volunteers to help pack and distribute the food.
