Ari Herring & Kathi Cunningham

The Rio Grande Food Project envisions a world where every person has plentiful, nutritious food. Development Director Kathi Cunningham and Executive Director Ari Herring are working to make it happen! The Rio Grande Food Project is a food pantry, urban garden, and community hub. Ari said, “Almost a third of people receiving food from the Rio Grande Food Project are children. Part of the beauty of our Urban Garden is that it’s for some kids their first introduction to cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. That connection to where food really comes from, fresh, beautiful vegetables. Growing food from the earth is a piece of our work that is truly loved by the community.”

THE RIO GRANDE FOOD PROJECT IS NOW OPEN FOR FREE GROCERIES 3 DAYS A WEEK!

Location: 600 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87121  (Behind Rio Grande Presbyterian Church, south of I-40, across the street from West Mesa High in the dirt parking lot).
