Shelley Repp and Sgt. Kyle Woods

Shelley Repp is the Executive Director of the New Mexico Dream Center. Sergeant Kyle Woods serves as a Deputy with the “GHOST UNIT” of the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department. “I can say that virtually every single trafficked youth I have dealt with has been abused physically and sexually as a youth. It becomes almost a normalized environment for them opening them up to exploitation.”

The New Mexico Dream Center provides services to survivors of minor domestic sex trafficking called “Spoken For” and “The Harbor.” Shelley said, “Spoken For provides after-care for identified survivors of human trafficking. After-care looks like emergency shelter, transitional living, case management, and just really helping these identified survivors connect with services in our community. The Harbor is a drop-in center for young people that are experiencing homelessness. They can come to our facility Tuesday thru Friday to get food, take a shower, do their laundry, get hygiene products, get on the computer, and connect with a case manager.”
