West Central Community Development Group has announced the groundbreaking ceremony on February 20, 2021, for the new Route 66 Visitors Center.  The project is scheduled to be completed in one year on West Central at I-40 in Albuquerque. City Councilor Klarissa J. Pena and West Central Community Development Group, Executive Director, Luis Hernandez Jr. believe the Center will attract travelers on I-40 to exit and enjoy the Albuquerque community and culture. The facility will feature meeting spaces, the Route 66 museum, a neon sign park, an outdoor amphitheater, and a  drive-in theater. For more information, go to https://www.wccdg.org/.
