Feed New Mexico Kids Executive Director, Tracy Rodden describes the sick feeling and sadness she experienced as a child when she had to go days without food. She directs our thoughts to school aged children 5-18 years of age who are food insecure, and she challenges our listeners to think about the lives of these students, and how they will grow up if we help them now! Feed New Mexico Kids is a non-profit organization providing food for children on the weekends. Many school Districts around the country provide breakfast and lunch for students during the school week, but many students have nothing to eat on the weekends! Tracy explains how easy it is for churches and businesses to “adopt” a neighborhood school and help provide food for children on the weekends.
